V neděli 12. února došlo v Los Angeles k předávání cen Grammy. Ceny jsou udělované Národní akademií hudebního umění a věd v USA, a tak se jedná o jednu z nejprestižnější hudebních oceněních - vítězové nejsou vybíráni na základě počtu hlasů od fanoušků a také proto si udílení cen Grammy jen málokdy nechám ujít. Slavnostní večer není pouze o vyhlašování vítězů, ale také o spoustě skvělých vystoupení a jelikož se jedná o společenskou událost, tak je to také o módě. A o tomto všem bude řeč i v dnešním článku.
Kompletní seznam nominovaných i vítězů najdete na samotných stránkách Grammy. Některé kategorie mě zajímaly více, některé méně, některé přijímací proslovy byly zajímavější a při některých došlo i k, dá se říci, technickým problémům. Udílejí se ceny ve více než 80ti kategoriích, takže se zde samozřejmě nebudu zmiňovat o všech.
U mnohých kategorií mě zaráží, že vůbec byly nominovány některé písničky nebo alba, a přestože se jedná o ceny akademii, v mých očích i Grammy ztrácí úroveň. Rozhodně si chci do příštího udílení cen nastudovat více celý proces, jak se těch pět nejlepších nominací vůbec vybírá - tedy pokud se to dá vůbec někde zjistit. Jenom tak okrajem bych také mohla zmínit to, že někteří interpreti se od Grammy distancovali úplně, tímto interpretem je třeba Frank Ocean nebo Macklemore &Ryan Lewis.
Začnu kategoriemi, které byly vyhlášeny přímo na velkém pódiu. V kategorii Best New Artist, tedy Objev, vyhrál Chance the Rapper, což si myslím, je zasloužené, ale zrovna u této kategorie moc nechápu, jak určují, kdo je nováček a kdo ne, jelikož Chance the Rapper se už v hudbě nějakou tu dobu pohybuje. Jednoznačně nejlepší "přijímací" řeč, acceptance speech, měli Twenty One Pilots, kteří vyhráli v kategorii Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, nad tím, že nejsou pop se asi nemá cenu pozastavovat. Twenty One Pilots patří mezi mé oblíbené kapely a jsem strašně ráda, že si aspoň ten jeden gramofonek odnesli. Cenu si přišli převzít pouze v trenkách a proč, na to se můžete podívat ve videu. Vtipné a inspirující předávání.
Za zmínku stojí ještě vystoupení Chance the Rappera, které taky stojí za zhlédnutí. A potom Lady Gaga s Metallicou, i když v tomto případě měli problémy s mikrofonem, to by nevadilo, ale já sama Metallicu nemám moc ráda, takže mě tohle vystoupení neoslovilo.
A jak jsem zmiňovala na začátku, tak se zde zmíním také o módě na červeném koberci.
Nejvíce se mi líbily dvoje šaty na letočních Grammy a to šaty Jennifer Lopez a Rihanny, obě vypadaly božsky. A i když samotné šaty Demi Lovato mě úplně neoslnily, tak jí to prostě i tak moc slušelo a nemohla jsem ji zde nezmínit. Za nejvíc hot couple považuju Johna Legenda s Chrissy Teigen, tahle fotka tomu taky dopomohla, ale jim to spolu sluší vždycky, takže... Teď už se přesouváme k bizárům. Tím prvním jsou šaty Joy Villy, které na sobě mají citát Trumpa, a kdyby tohle nebylo málo, tak vězte, že ty šaty mají na sobě zezadu dokonce napsáno Trump, no, co k tomu říct. A kdybyste nepoznali, kdo je na poslední fotce, tak vám to prozradím, je to CeeLo Green, já mám ráda některé jeho písničky, ale je to docela podivný týpek - jestli na sebe chtěl za každou cenu upoutat pozornost, tak se mu rozhodně povedlo. Schválně, který outfit na letošních Grammy se vám líbil nejvíc, a který vás naopak spíš pobavil?
Tohle by bylo pro tento článek všechno. Vím, že jsem se rozepsala, ale zkrátka jsem se oćhtěla podělit o moje dojmy a názory. Určitě mi zanechte vaše v komentářích. Měla jsem v plánu napsat článek o albech za minulý rok, ale pořád jsme to odkládala s tím, že si musím ještě některé poslechnout, které jsem doposud nestihla zposlechnout, ale o některých albech by stálo za to napsat, takže až si udělám zase trochu delší chvilku na psaní, tak takový článek čekejte.
The 59th Grammy Awards was held on February 12 in Los Angeles. Grammy is an honor awarded by The Recording Academy in the USA and it's one of the most prestigious awards in music, also because of the fact that this is not voted by fans. But the glamorous night is not just about the winners, it's also about the ceremondy and performances and also about fashion because of what kind of event it is. But I will talk about that later in this article.
You can read the complete list of nominees and winner on the website of Grammy's, Some of the categories seemed more insteresting others less, some of the acceptance speeches were really interesting and there were also some technical difficulties during the night. The Grammy Awards are awarded in more than 80 categories so I won't talk about all of them.
Some categories surprised me by its nominees because there were some names and songs that I don't think are the greatest, not at all, so in my eyes The Grammy's also lost their class through the years. I don't know much about the selection process to get your work nominee but I definitely want to study more on that topic so next Grammy's I'll be a little more clever. I also want to mention that some artists distanced themselves from this awards, that is Frank Ocean and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
Firstly, let's talk about the winners who where announced on the stage. In the category Best New Artist won Chance the Rapper, I think he deserved it, but I don't really get how they define who is new artist and who is old(?). Because Chance the Rapper isn't really a new artist, Coloring Book is his third mixtape.
The best acceptance speech was definitely the one by Twenty One Pilots who won in the category Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, it's probably pointless to point out that they're not pop. Otherwise, Twenty One Pilots is one of my most favourite band so I'm happy for them. They accepted their award in their pants and they have actually a great reason for that. Their speech was kind of funny but also really inspiring.
The host of this evening was James Corden well known for his Late Late Show and also for the popular Carpool Karaoke which became viral hit. The opening was fine, also the opening monologue/rap song was pretty okay. He as a host wasn't awkard or painful to watch, not at all, it was fine. I didn't love it but I also didn't hate it, I quite liked it. But now let's finally talk about the performances. The first performance was by Adele with her Hello, I really don't like this song, I don't think it's that great. But Adele is good singer and she sang well even though you could hear there some false notes. The next performance was by Ed Sheeran and he really did surprised me and I mean it in a good way. He performed his new song Shape of You which is not exactly my favourite but to my surprise I didn't mind and I actually enjoyed listening to this song - which is really odd. I may start liking this song. .
I also want to mention performance by Chance the Rapper that is also worth watching. Then also Lady Gaga and Metallica but they had some difficulties with microphone. But to be honest I don't really like Metallica so I still woudn't enjoy it really.

V kategorii Best Urban Contemporary Album vyhrála Beyoncé s Lemonade a to naprosto zaslouženě. Ona sama svoji řeč četla z kartičky, což nepovažuji za něco špatného, ale samotná řeč se mi tolik nelíbila. Spíš mi to připadalo jako by si chtěla hrát na tu teatrálnost. Každopádně jsem ráda, že Lemonade vyhrálo alespoň v této kategorii. Další na řadě byla kategorie Best Rap Album, kde vyhrál opět Chance the Rapper s jeho novým albem Coloring Book, a mimojiné vyhrál ještě v kategorii Best Rap Performance. Přiznám se, že jsem neslyšela celé album Coloring Book, protože mě na první poslech úplně nechytlo, ale musím mu dát ještě šanci, když se budu na něj plně soustředit, protože o tomto albu slyším pořád. V závěru večera došlo na tři kategorie, na které většina lidí čekala, a to Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year a Album Of The Year - ve všech těchto kategoriích vyhrála Adele, s píničkou Hello a albem 25. Při předávání gramofonku za nejlepší píseň došlo k takové nepříjemnosti, Hello napsala Adele společně s Gregem Kurstinem, který poté, co domluvila Adele, chtěl taky něco říci, ale bohužel, Grammy utkla jeho řeč, na videu, které zde vkládám, to nejde slyšet, protože je to ustřihlé, ale obecenstvo bučelo na protest tohoto utknutí. Osobně mi to přišlo docela hrubé přerušit to takhle náhle. No, ale Adele se na pódiu objevila víckrát a tak Greg Kurstin dostal slovo při předávání další ceny. A nakonec došlo i na nejlepší album roku, které tedy vyhrálo album 25 od Adele, ale Adele ve svojí řeči zmínila, že to přála Beyoncé - já si myslím, že Beyoncé si zasloužila tuto kategorii vyhrát. Lemonade je skvělé album, 25 se mně osobně moc nelíbí, ale hlavně to není ničím vyjímečné album. Tohle není poprvé, co to někde zmiňuji, ale myslím si, že Adele obecně je hodně přeceňovaná - umí zpívat, to jí nikdo nebere, ale její tvorba není až tak přelomová. Kdyby bylo na mě, tak bych zvolila jako nejlepší album roku úplně jiné album, které nebylo ani nominované, ale z těch nominovaných si to podle mě zasloužila Beyoncé s Lemonade.
Z těchto více filmových kategorií stojí za zmínku Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media, zde vyhrál soundtrack Miles Ahead (mezi nominacemi byl např. i Suicide Squad nebo Straight Outta Compton), a v kategorii Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media vyhrálo Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Nejvíce mě zaskočila kategorie Best Song Written For Visual Media, kde vyhrála, a teď se podržte, píseň Can't Stop The Feeling! - spokojenější bych byla, kdyby vyhrála kterákoliv jiná písnička nominovaná v této kategorii, neznala jsem akorát písničku The Veil, ale třeba Heathens, Just Like Fire, Try Everything nebo i Purple Lamborghini jsou podle mě daleko lepší písničky než Can't Stop The Feeling - ta jediná byla ale všude a pořád dokola, nevím z jakého důvodu, protože poslouchat se to opravdu moc nedá, nebo vás to brzo začne hodně otravovat. A dokonce i Češka byla nominovaná na Grammy, a to Magdalena Kožená v kategorii Best Classical Vocal Solo Album, ale bohužel nevyhrála.
Co se k samotnému večeru týče, tak jím provázel James Corden, kterého můžeme znát jako moderátora The Late Late Show, kde se objevuje i segment Carpool Karaoke, který je velmi populární. Já jsem samotný opening a první vystoupení nestihla živě, takže jsem se na to dívala zpětně. Myslím si, že ten opening byl celkem fajn, Corden měl i svůj monolog, nebo spíš takovou rap vsuvku, ale nic nepůsobilo přehnaně trapně, spíš to hodnotím tak neutrálně, nevadilo mi to, ani mě to nenadchlo. A teď už k jednotlivým vystoupením. Opět zde nebudu mluvit o všech, o některých se rozepíšu více, o některých méně. Tím prvním vystoupením, na které jsem se dívala až zpětně byla písnička Hello od Adele. Já tuhle písničku opravdu nemám ráda, nepřijde mi nijak skvělá nebo ohromující, ale dobře - nemusí se mi líbit všechno, avšak jelikož šlo o živé vystoupení, tak šlo slyšet pár chybiček a trošku falešnějších tónů, možná až moc rýpu, ale zkrátka jsem to tam slyšela, tak to zde i zmíním. I tak se jednalo o slušné vystoupení. Příjemně mě Ed Sheeran, který vystoupil s písničkou Shape of You, a i když se nejedná o písničku, kde by byl doprovázen pouze kytarou, i tak vystupoval sám a upřímně, bylo to skvělé, i když jsem na tuhle písničku byla dost alergická (musím přiznat, že se mi už začíná i líbit, což nerada přiznávám, ale je to tak).

Na Grammy vystoupili i Lukas Graham a Kelsea Ballerini, přičemž spojili dohromady dvě svoje písničky, což se podle mě moc nevyvedlo. A hlavně se mi moc nelíbil zpěv Lukase Grahame Forchhammera. Ale přesuňme se k zajímavějšímu vystoupení, o kterém se asi mluví vůbec nejvíc, a to Beyoncé, která vystoupila s dvě písněmi a to Love Drought a Sandcastles. Vše začalo nádhernou projekcí, která byla opravdu úžasná, člověk si nebyl jistý tím, co byla projekce a co ne. Celé její album Lemonade bylo tentokrát zaměřeno více artovým směrem a to stejné bychom mohli říct o jejím vystoupení, ale mě se nejvíc líbila první polovina vystoupení, ta druhá.. Beyoncé se v tom zkrátka vyžívala a skoro to vypadalo jako by se považovala za nějakou bohyni. Ano, byla to skvělá show, ale myslím, že to to bylo už trochu nucené a trochu moc. Ale posuďte sami.
Bruno Mars vystupoval během večera dvakrát, prvně s jeho písničkou That's What I Like - a i když nejsem velkým fanouškem jeho posledního alba, tak zpěvák je to skvělý a naživo zní jeho písničky ještě líbí, navíc ty pohyby, tanec má prostě v sobě. Podruhé se na pódiu objevil při příležitosti, kdy vzdal hold Princovi a opravdu se jednalo o důstojné a velmi živé vzdání holdu. Ujal se toho skvěle. Potom přišlo na řadu vystoupení, na které jsem se já osobně těšila možná dokonce nejvíc a to bylo vystoupení Katy Perry, která zazpívala svůj nový single Chained to the Rhythm, což je moje nová oblíbená písnička, a zazpíval ji s ní i Skip Marley, který je ft na této písničce. O Katy Perry se ví, že není tou nejlepší zpěvačkou naživo, takže s tím jsem počítala a ani jsem neočekávala dechberoucí pěvecké vystoupení, ale byla jsem upřímně zvědavá na samotnou show - ale i pěvecky se jednalo o velmi slušné vystoupení. Katy nezklamala. Osobně se mi moc líbí její nová image, stage, na které zpívala byl ve tvaru domu, který se točil, všechno doprovázela nádherná projekce. Mně se to vystoupení opravdu moc líbilo. A rozhodně jsem zvědavá na její novou tvorbu.
Během večera se vzpomínalo na více interpretů a jedním z nich byl i George Michael, kterému vzdala hold Adele, která tento tribut začínala dvakrát. Poprvé řekla sprosté slovo, takže to začala znovu. Ale tohle vystoupení bylo opravdu dechberoucí a dohánělo člověka opravdu k slzám. Opravdu krásné.

Beyoncé won in the category Best Urban Contemporary Album with Lemonde and that is well deserved. She read her speech from a card which I don't mind but the speech itself.. I didn't like it. It seemed to me that she really wanted to be theatrical. But I'm glad that Lemonade won this category.
In the next category once again won Chance the Rapper with his album Coloring Book as Best Rap Album. And he also won one another category which is Best Rap Performance. I have to admit that I haven't heard the whole album yet, the songs that I've heard didn't catch my attention but I heard so much about this album that I have to give it a go once more and this time I will really focus on the album.

But Adele wasn't on the stage just once so he had another chance to actually speak. And when Adele was accepting her award for the best album she admitted that she wanted Beyoncé to win that category, and I agree with that. I think Lemonade has interesting concept and great visuals and it's really quite the album but there is nothing special about 25. I think Adele is really overrated, she certainly can sing, no doubt about that, but her album wasn't the best, that's all I'm saying. And my personal choice for the best album of 2016 wouldn't be Lemonade either but my favourite album wasn't even nominated so..

But unfortunately they were still able to win this category with a song like this. It's more like Can't Believe It! There were much better songs nominated for this category like Heathens, Just Like Fire, Try Everything or even Purple Lamborghini. Ugh, this really upset me.

Lukas Graham and Kelsea Ballerini also performed during the night, together. They mixed together two of their song but it didn't really work out well. And also I don't like the vocals of Lukas graham Forchhammer, especially live. Well, now I will finally talk about performance by Beoyncé, about which everyone is talking. She performed two of her songs, Love Drought and Sandcastles (both of which are now on her youtube channel, including the visuals from Lemonade). Her performance started with beautiful projection and it was more artsy, just like her album. And you couldn't be sure what was the projection and what was real. I liked the first half of her performance more then the second. Then it began to feel like she thinks of herself like a God. I don't know. She really did enjoyed being somewhat like God. But yes, it was a great show but then it was just too much. But watch the perfomance yourself.
Bruno Marsb performed twice during the Grammys, first with his song That's What I Like and even though I'm not a big fan of his last album I did enjoy this performance. He's great singer and even better live, also he got the moves. The seconds time he appeared on the stage was to hold tribute to Prince - and that was just great. Full of energy and really nice. Then it was time for another performance, this time by Katy Perry and I was really excited for this one. She performed her newest song Chained to the Rhythm together with Skip Marley. It is known that Katy Perry is not the best singer live so I didn't expect much from that - and it pretty much fulfilled my expectations in this way. But I was really excited for the show. I love her new image, the scenery she had for the performance for perfect and the projection - I loved it. Also, performance full of energy. I'm really excited for her new music.
There were also some other tributes held during Grammys. One of them was performed by Adele to George Michael. She had to start twice the song because she swore. But the performance was just beautiful, quite emotional. And really beautiful.
I also want to mention performance by Chance the Rapper that is also worth watching. Then also Lady Gaga and Metallica but they had some difficulties with microphone. But to be honest I don't really like Metallica so I still woudn't enjoy it really.
As I said at the beginning, let's take a look on the outfits at the red carpet.
There were two dresses which I found most beautiful - JLo and Rihanna wore them, they both looked gorgeous. Even though I didn't love the dress Demi Lovato wore, she still looked stunning, just beautiful. And who is the most hot couple of the Grammy's? John Legend and Chrissy Teigen of course, and this photograph also helped to it a little bit. But now let's take a moment looking at those two last outfits. They are just bizare. Joy Villa wore dresses with Trump's quote on it and if she turned around, on the back of the dress there is also written his name. And if you don't recognize the person on the last picture, let me just tell you, it's CeeLo Green. He certainly had the attention he wanted.
